Welcome to San Altos Elementary School
WELCOME TO THE 2010 - 2011 SCHOOL YEAR!
School begins Monday, August 30, 2010. Students should be lined up no later than 7:55 a.m. Classes start at 8:00 a.m. Traffic is very congested and parking spaces are very limited. Please take this into consideration when bringing your student to school.
I am so excited to be working with an outstanding staff who is dedicated to the teaching profession and committed to the philosophy that every student can learn. Therefore, our goal is to use researched based strategies to elevate students to be proficient or advanced in English Language Arts and Math as well as the other core subjects. In addition to our academic goals, we are continuing to focus on attendance and healthy living. We need your help in achieving this goal. We will be communicating on a regular basis through newsletters, phone messages, emails, and teacher notes on what you can do to help.
Our Extended Day Program (EDP) has a variety of academic and enrichment activities in store. Teachers are workng hard to build partnerships with you and your student so as to maximize on the opportunities for learning. For more information on the EDP, call our office.
San Altos, students and staff alike, take great pride in the work we do each and every day. Academic success for each child is our primary goal and we work to create an environment that allows children to learn and grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
